Back in early February, The Battery Show North America / Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Technology Expo announced its call for speaker proposals for the 2024 event, coming—along with more than 1,150 exhibitors—to Detroit’s Huntington Place October 7–10.

The call was answered, in spades, and the proposals came in by the hundreds: The 46 members of the event’s advisory board (which includes Senior Editor Maria Guerra and I) spent much of this spring evaluating individual proposals. (If you’re curious, the speaker proposal criteria is shared here.) After that long, conscientious and laborious process, Conference Program Manager Jumana Abdulla and her colleagues worked to put together a high-powered conference program.

The result: An extensive five-track conference program featuring more than 230 industry-leading speakers and more than 120 hours of exclusive educational content. Leading educational topics will include battery safety, supply chain, EV investments, charging and infrastructure, policy and regulations, automation and artificial intelligence as well as battery recycling, among other conversations such as gigafactories and battery passports.

In addition, for the first time, The Battery Show introduces a new conference track dedicated to "Emerging Applications,” highlighting stationary energy storage, heavy duty applications and aviation electrification. Each conference day will open with keynote addresses from renowned futurists.
