As the shift toward sustainable energy accelerates, the U.S. battery industry has become a key player in this transition. The rapid growth of the sector has created a strong demand for skilled professionals to drive innovation and keep the industry competitive on a global scale. The battery workforce spans a wide range of roles, from research and development to manufacturing and quality assurance.

Michael Berube, DOE’s Deputy Assistant Secretary for Sustainable Transportation and Fuels, recently emphasized the importance of developing such a workforce, stating, "American leadership in the global battery supply chain will be based not only on our innovation but also on our skilled workforce of engineers, designers, scientists, production workers, and technicians.”

Recruiting for winning teams

A challenge for the battery industry is to find employees ready to take on the tasks of this exciting and growing field. At the same time, there are scores of educated, talented professionals of all experience levels who might thrive in the battery and energy storage industry but don’t know where to begin. What to do?

Enter the Volta Foundation, which will hold an online Battery Career Fair on Thursday, September 12 from 8:00 to 10:00 AM PDT.
