Here's Where Battery Manufacturing Will Grow the Most

Global lithium-ion battery manufacturing capacity is expected to more than double by 2025, with these countries leading the way.

By 2030, global demand for lithium-ion electric vehicle (EV) batteries is expected to grow to more than 17 times what it was a decade before, reaching 9,300 GWh, according to research gathered by Scotch Creek Ventures. To meet that demand, global production of li-ion batteries for EVs will need to ramp up—and fast.

Already, production of lithium-ion batteries for EVs is set to more than double by 2025. Here's a look at which countries are adding the most capacity.
