Electric vehicles (EVs) are a relatively new technology, and, like any new technology, there are growing pains to get over. Unfortunately, many EV and hybrid vehicle companies experienced these growing pains in a major way in 2022.

2022 saw many of these vehicles get recalled, leading some to call 2022 “The Year of the Automotive Recall.”

On the hybrid side, these included recalls of the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid Plug-in, the 2017 Hyundai Ioniq PHEV, the Audi A3 E-Tron, and the Jeep Wrangler 4xe.
