According to Astute Analytica, the battery swapping market is set to boom: The global electric vehicle battery swapping market, valued at US$ 125.93 million in 2021, is projected to reach a valuation of $901.71 million by 2030 at a CAGR of 24.9%. While the battery-swapping for electric two-wheeler market was valued at $122.4 million in 2021 and is expected to reach USD 421.8 Million by 2027, growing at a CAGR of 28.08% during the forecast period.

Battery swapping mitigates range anxiety and charging times. Thanks to advances in battery technologies many companies have even started to offer battery-as-a-service (BaaS) as e-mobility grows. The idea of swappable batteries has found a very profitable place in the e-mobility sector for electric two-wheelers and electric three-wheelers. Even though the potential for large scalability in the EV sector is still not clear, there are companies already offering EV battery-swap services. Let’s take a look at who is swapping batteries.
