VDMA Services GmbH, the 3,600-member association of the machinery and equipment manufacturing industry in Germany and Europe, is holding an event in Detroit on September 11—the day before The Battery Show North America kicks off in nearby Novi, MI. The topic is GreenTech for the US electromobility market from Europe focusing on battery production and lightweight technology.

“Major transformation issues are shaping our times. Climate change and resource conservation in particular are in the spotlight worldwide,” the VDMA press announcement notes. “Mechanical and plant engineering has a central role to play here: It is a green tech enabler and supplies the technologies for energy efficiency, the circular economy, climate-neutral production, mobility of the future, and renewable energies.”

The event focuses on battery production and lightweight technologies and enables attendees the opportunity to establish contacts with European mechanical engineering companies promoting green technologies.
