In a bid to transform enterprise fleet-vehicle charging and enhance productivity, TUAL—a provider of electric commercial-vehicle charging solutions—has unveiled PowerBank Pro-Charging technology. This charging solution addresses the pressing challenges fleet operators face in charging electric light commercial vehicles (eLCVs).

Recognizing the limitations of existing charging infrastructure for fleet electrification, TUAL has developed modular power bank solutions that empower fleet operators to overcome grid and vehicle constraints. This flexibility ensures that eLCVs have access to charging infrastructure regardless of location, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.

How does TUAL’s power bank solution work?

By enabling drivers to swap power banks in just 90 seconds at the depot, TUAL minimizes disruptions to the vehicle's schedule, empowering fleet operators to maintain efficient operations. Additionally, for vans unable to home-charge or return to the depot, the Vehicle ReCharge power bank technology offers overnight charging regardless of location, utilizing the charges collected on the return journey.

Beyond addressing charging infrastructure challenges

TUAL's technology extends the range and efficiency of eLCVs. The Range Extender solution enables vehicles to operate beyond their standard driving range by providing a power bank that charges the vehicle's battery each time it's parked. This innovation allows fleet operators to deploy vehicles for long-range duty cycles without frequent recharging, thereby increasing operational flexibility.

Furthermore, TUAL's Portable Power solution offers off-grid energy, providing auxiliary power beyond what's available from the van itself. This capability enhances the versatility and utility of eLCVs, especially in remote or off-grid locations where access to traditional charging infrastructure may be limited.
