The energy storage business is booming, and battery makers have many reasons to be thankful. It has been a year filled with technological advances that have the potential to create better batteries. Also, let’s not forget that the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), signed into law last August, will significantly improve the economics for energy-storage projects in the US.

From improvements in anode technologies to better electrolyte formulations, let’s look at some of the things that battery technologies should be thankful for this year.
