The recent announcements regarding Formula E's partnerships and supplier selections underscore the series' unwavering commitment to pioneering sustainable mobility and advancing electric vehicle (EV) technology globally.

Firstly, the multi-year deal announced by Aggreko represents a significant milestone in Formula E's journey towards achieving its emissions reduction targets. By utilizing renewable energy sources such as biofuel generators, solar arrays, and cutting-edge battery technology, Formula E events will not only be powered sustainably but also serve as a tangible example of how sporting events can embrace eco-friendly practices without compromising on performance or excitement.

Formula E energy storage

Aggreko will supply six 300kVA batteries to charge all Formula E cars and varying battery sizes to power the overall circuit at race locations. Each battery can charge four race cars simultaneously, the equivalent of powering 84,000 mobile phones. Aggreko's provision of high-efficiency batteries capable of charging multiple cars simultaneously not only enhances the operational efficiency of Formula E races but also showcases the potential of advanced battery technology in facilitating rapid electric vehicle charging, a crucial aspect for the widespread adoption of EVs in the consumer market.
