Chinese EV automaker IM Motors recently unveiled the IM L6 electric sedan. At the official launch event, the company’s co-CEO Liu Tao recently claimed that solid-state batteries lie at the heart of its new smart car, setting it apart from its predecessors and competitors. “This technology is a culmination of ten years of innovation,” said Tao. The company claims to have introduced the industry's first mass-produced sedan to be equipped with a quasi-900 V ultra-fast-charging solid-state battery with a range of up to 621 miles on a single charge.
