Volkswagen is putting its eggs into the EV basket and its wants ID.4 its starting point in the U.S. The ID.4 probably could have been included in our lower price story but as 1st Edition ID.4 models with a standard 201 horsepower rear-motor are already sold out, we are placing it here. The ID.4 comes with 20-inch wheels and has a 12.0-inch infotainment touchscreen. A 302-hp dual-motor all-wheel-drive drivetrain will come later in 2021 moving the price closer to $45,000.
